Samantha Aragon
Associate Attorney
Areas of Practice:
Samantha attended Northern Arizona University where she received a degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. Samantha then earned a master’s degree in justice studies at Arizona State University where she primarily studied the disproportionate impacts race, gender and class play in our criminal justice system. This eye-opening experience ignited Samantha’s passion for criminal defense.
Samantha attended law school at the University of Oregon School of Law. During law school, Samantha developed criminal law knowledge and skills and addressed issues impacting the criminal justice system, through her work with the Criminal Defense Association. Samantha gained practical experience with a Juvenile Defense firm where she met with clients, attended hearings, and assisted with trial preparation.
After graduation, Samantha began her career as a prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. Samantha’s goal was to experience both sides of the system and learn how prosecutors handle cases. While there, Samantha was able to spot issues and weaknesses, as well as strengths, in cases that were submitted for prosecution. Her ability to understand both sides of a case makes her an incredible asset to the firm. Samantha works on cases ranging from—assault, DUI, prostitution—up through major felony cases including homicides, sex cases, white collar, dangerous crimes, child abuse, and drug trafficking cases. Samantha works collaboratively with Mr. Litwak as we believe that every case benefits from having two attorneys.
